I
have recently taken the plunge and gone digital with my stage
gear and boy is it fantastic. I had struggled for ages trying
to get to grips with software based playback and found it all
very fiddly and complex. But now I have jet propelled myself into
the 21st Century with the unbelievably excellent Behringer BCD2000.
This gives instant access to thousands of tracks whilst retaining
the finesse of a deck-based system.

As
far as sound is concerned, I use a couple of Mackie SRM450s plus a Mackie SRS1500 bass bin which together pack a meaty 1.2KW and provide a nice
powerful smooth sound.

For
larger venues I can get hold of any sized PA rig (see the testimonials page where I had a 4.8KW rig for a 400 person+ dance hall). The
main thing to bear in mind is that whatever system is used, it
doesn't ever want to be cranked up to 100%. It is always a good
idea to have more power at your fingertips than you need, in order
to create a crisp / clear sound - rather than a lot of painful
distortion.
For
lighting I use two sets of 4 x PAR 56 lanterns with a smoke machine
(if required) to produce a real "club type" atmosphere. Added
to this I'll bring along a couple of lasers (nice) & a strobe light!

Please
rest assured that this is all excellent quality gear which is regularly
maintained to keep it in tip-top condition, ready for your special
occasion.
